The PADI Divemaster course is your first step into the world of professional diving.
The Divemaster course takes you from being a recreational diver to that of a dive leader, mentor and motivator.
It is one of the most sought after qualifications of all the professional levels offered by PADI. This is a challenging and demanding course that will not only improve your skills, knowledge and experience as a diver, it will develop your professional, technical and leadership skills and knowledge to enable you to take your place amongst the ranks of PADI Professionals.
The aim of this course is to prepare you to take up leadership roles in planning, coordinating, organising and leading diving activities, to teach novice/students divers some courses and elements of other courses and to assist qualified instructors deliver training to novices and experienced divers alike.
Further training will also qualify you to become a Discover Scuba Diving Leader (DSD Leader) and allow you to introduce people to diving for the first time in controlled conditions.
Course Prerequisites: Age 18 years and up. Rescue Diver, 40 logged dives, CPR and First Aid certification within 24 months, medical clearance to dive.
Time Commitment: Approximately 50 hours
PADI eLearning makes it easy to fit scuba lessons into a busy schedule. Complete the independent study part of your course whenever, wherever it’s convenient for you.
Work at your own pace, online or offline, using a computer or mobile device. Connect with your instructor for in-water training, or whenever you have a question.
Gain practical experience giving dive briefings, assisting with classes and leading underwater tours. Learn how to anticipate problems and provide assistance, create an Emergency Assistance Plan and improve your navigation and problem-solving skills through practical workshops.
